RECOVER STORY OF THE MONTH

My name is Joseph T. My sobriety date is April 16, 2024, and I am an Alcoholic. I grew up in southern Ohio on a big farm in a little town called Warsaw, Ohio.

I started working at a young age, and I took my first drink at 10 years old. At 18, I went into the Marines. I did ten years, and after I got out my drinking got really bad. I couldn’t say sober at home, so I came to Cleveland and fell short a few times.

Then I came to the Keating center.

I am very grateful today, and AA – it has changed my life.

What I do today to stay sober…

I have two sponsors and three home groups. I make coffee, clean tables, go to five meetings a week, and I help new comers.
